The “front porch” concept conjures up relatively old-fashioned images. Yet within the design proposal from Angelini & Associates Architects in cooperation with Randy Alexander, it is the centerpiece of the residence hall room of the future. Adjustable spaces allow students who live near each other to come together when the need or mood arises. These same movable walls also provide a number of additional benefits, including satisfying storage needs and providing privacy when it is required. These adaptable pieces, along with materials that are sustainable and durable, and flexibly arranged fixtures properly positioned this design for the hall of the future.
