When the Marks, Thomas design team presented their vision of the residence hall of the future, they created not only a host of new ideas but also a new vocabulary with which to explain it all. Soon the audience was learning of energy grabbers, digiboards, and much more. With its intriguing ideas on energy conservation as well as the extreme mobility of the living unit, their concept certainly had people looking at (and talking about) what collegiate housing can be in a whole new way.
